The Answer Is In The Garden
I started this post days ago. It was an easy task to upload the beautiful photos from a styled shoot at the garden last August with Renee, but then I needed to think of a title and write something. As I write this I still do not have a title.
The last month has been like no other in my lifetime, yet some aspects of my daily life remain unchanged. I live in the woods where I can’t see any other houses or roads just mountains, trees, and sky. My thankfulness for such a beautiful place to live is larger than I can express right now.
I still feel at a loss for all the right words or any really, but the one thing that keeps coming into my mind is how my garden is giving me such hope. Almost daily I am planting more flats of flowers and vegetables. This is an act that gives me hope each spring as I anticipate the miracle of summer, but this year it is more than this. It is giving me hope in general. Today I read a newsletter from another farmer florist titled “the answer is in the garden”. I think she will be okay with me borrowing her title. Thank you Holly Chapple for your inspiration! Thank you to Renee for capturing summer for me to dream of when I need it most.

Great website. Lovely photos. Green relaxes me and does make me feel it will ok. Thank you for sharing this.
I hope to do a bit of digging in the dirt myself this spring. Although everything may not be ok. We can focus on what does make us ok. It’s all about the garden.
Beautiful! The title reminds me of the 90s film adaptation of The Secret Garden. I love seeing glimpses of your Alaskan oasis.
